Tempest Rally 2008

GSJ 116V  and   KHV154W(last years winners for this event)

..Both cars  were entered with Jumbo and Paul in the driving seats  and  Ian and Andy in the navigators.
Jumbos preparation for this event were not ideal , being called to Los Angelis on business just 2 days before the event and landing back in England 90 minutes before the start of the rally.
Jumbo didn’t allow this to effect him though and started the first stage in full attack mode and continued all day trading seconds with the leader. In the final stages Jumbo and Ian were 35 seconds behind the leader, but during this stage, drama saw both  the leader and jumbos car lose their headlights in the dark.Driving by feel method and barely able to see,we were nearly rewarded with another win this season but were happy to finish the event in 2nd place just 5 seconds behind the winner.
Jumbo and Ian have stated their intent to return next year to recapture their crown!

Paul and Andy’s day was a lot les chaotic taking the tricky conditions very cautiously due to this being their 1st event on Pace Notes,so they found they had less drama to report and were thrilled to back up their team mates result with an 18th place overall and a 3rd in class.

A great day of motorsport was had all around.

Thank you to all the service crew consisting of Dave Baskerville, Scott Smith, Frazer Martin, Pete Withecombe and Sherman for their invaluable help on the day
